US rapper, Lil Scrappy nearly died in a near-death car crash after falling asleep behind the wheel.

The 34-year-old rapper whose real name is Darryl Kevin Richardson was hospitalized after the car crash over the weekend in Miami.

According to sources, Lil Scrappy was leaving the King Of Diamonds strip club with friend Ca$ino Roulette in the early hours of Sunday morning when they slammed into a pole and totaled the car. 

TMZ reported that the rapper who police listed as the driver believed his companion was the one driving and fell asleep behind the wheel.

‘Scrappy and his pal Ca$ino Roulette, were found outside of the car and on the ground when authorities arrived,’ revealed the publication according to the traffic crash report.

‘Neither could coherently explain what had happened. The report also notes there were no witnesses … and no citations issued. Cops say the car was probably driving too fast for the conditions.’ 

The rapper who suffered a broken foot still doesn’t remember who found him or how he got to the hospital, while his friend’s Ca$ino is said to be in ICU.

He has since taken to social to thank God for surviving the accident.

‘Man God is great I can’t even show u the car o, thank God for given me a fam and people that rides with me,’ he captioned a series of shots of himself in hospital.

@casinoroulette in here hurt too we fucked up but God saved our lives #Godisgreat #Mercy #Grace im blessed with a wife and daughter to help me back up but God is great and we are alive thanks big God.’

Scrappy who is a father to daughter Emani Richardson, 13, from his relationship with Erica Dixon, 34,  is currently expecting a son with model wife Bambi Benson.
